This deck addresses stuttering therapy techniques with modification and strategies towards having an improved sense of control over one's speech. It also addresses stuttering as verbal diversity. It is intended for grade school students as a quick way to assess a student/client's self-awareness of stuttering behavior. It also promotes thoughtful discussion between the child, SLP, as well as caregivers about stuttering. The student/client's readiness and motivation towards speech therapy is also discussed. Print as part of a reflective journal for 1:1 or small group therapy as well as fostering discussion within the home setting. Included are 12 question cards with discussion points to assist with determining a student/client's disposition, attitudes, and feelings regarding their speech. Draw and typed responses are an option. This is a not graded deck but meant as a catalyst for discussion and insight into the mindset of child who stutters.
