Description: PURPOSE: To identify what information is known in order to determine what questions to ask. Students have difficulty asking a variety of questions and will sometimes ask a question when the information is already known. With this activity, student will determine what is information is known in the sentence by circling the information and writing the information in the boxes provided. Then the students can ask questions using the empty fill-in boxes as visual prompts. The questions should be written in the fill-in boxes that have not been filled with information. Symbols (AAC) are provided as visual prompts for each wh-question (who, what, where, when).
