Description: In this activity, your student/client will practice various comprehension strategies with non-fiction text while learning about salmon! This activity can be used for listening or reading comprehension and building receptive and expressive language skills. *Audio is provided on each card. Your student/client will read or listen to sentences as they learn about salmon. While they listen/read each sentence card, they are asked to identify the relevant pieces of information. Student's define and categorize content vocabulary, as well as answer multiple choice comprehension questions. Lastly, the student is encouraged to retell the information using the main idea and target vocabulary words in oral or written form. An outline with bullet points and the main idea are included. Perfect for upper elementary through high school students.
