Description: This Thanksgiving-themed Listening Comprehension Practice deck is about the book "Katie Woo: Katie Saves Thanksgiving." This is a great activity for ESL students who are at a level 1.5--2.5 on the WIDA scale. First, students listen to the story. Then they answer comprehension questions about the story (multiple choice and drag and drop). ***You the teacher must source the book (either hard copy or an online video. This is easily done, but I cannot include it here due to BOOM's copyright policies. BOOM decks may NOT contain a read aloud within them, nor may they contain YouTube videos.*** Differentiation tip: for an easier level, let students actually watch the video of the read aloud. For more of a challenge, just have them listen (minimize the browser). This is great practice for the WIDA ACCESS test that all ESL students need to take each year.
