Description: Tic-Tac-Toe games utilizing upper elementary to middle school level vocabulary for synonyms. These words are intended to be more complex to expand the student's vocabulary. At the beginning of the deck, each set of vocabulary words are listed. It is recommended that students learn the meanings of the words and refer to www.thesaurus.com before starting the Tic-Tac-Toe games. This is an activity that can be played either with the clinician or with peers in a group. Students read aloud a word and state a synonym.
