Students build their own city maps using movable pieces while you target multiple goals through the same interactive activity. Target multiple goals at the same time. Use the map-building activity to work on: 🗣️ Articulation: Each map includes sound-loaded buildings, places, and street names for specific speech goals. 💬 Language: Target description, concepts, following directions, WH- questions, and other language skills as students create their maps. 🧭 Life Skills: Practice functional map-reading skills, including cardinal directions and using a compass rose. Because you can target one or several goals at once, this activity is especially useful for mixed groups. Students get to make choices, create their own communities, and interact with movable pieces while getting meaningful practice with their speech & language goals.
