Description: Ask your students to envision that each domino is a car. Students will count the dots on each domino and "park" them in the correct parking space by dragging and dropping them. This activity provides opportunities for students to build fact fluency and with practice, students will begin to subitize amounts - they will not have to count the dots! This activity also sets the stage for composing/decomposing numbers to 10. Students will notice that number pairs can be decomposed/composed in more than one way. Ex: 5 = 2 + 3 and 5 = 4 + 1. Drivers' Licenses are not required to play this deck!
