Description: This unit addresses a student’s ability to identify and name functions of objects with a back to school theme. This resource is leveled to provide multiple practice opportunities and to each skill at different levels of complexity. Level 1 is a receptive task in a yes/no or true/false format. Level 2 is also a receptive language task in a multiple choice format. Level 3 is an expressive language task in an open-ended question format. Levels 1 and 2 are interactive, providing feedback for both correct and incorrect answers. Level 3 is not as interactive, since it’s more of an expressive activity. In addition, for Levels 1 & 2, the questions can be read to the student, so even non-readers can complete the tasks independently! This resource is perfect for progress monitoring, since there are 10 items for each skill at each level, In addition, the target items for each unit are different for every season/holiday, so it provides a true measure of the student’s abilities, rather than the student’s ability to memorize answers.
