Description

Students will listen to common sounds and guess what is inside the gift during this simple listening game. It is a great way to work on listening skills and auditory discrimination skills. Students can also work on vocabulary skills and using the carrier phrase, "I hear a _______". I have included two levels of play. Level 1 includes visuals in a multiple choice format. Level 2 has an open response format and no visuals so students have to rely entirely on auditory cues. I would recommend always starting with Level 1 to familiarize your students with the sounds before moving on to Level 2. This game could be used during the holiday season, birthdays, or any time of the year!
