Description: This fall pumpkin deck builds melodic dictation skills with melodies based on 3rds/skips and repeated notes. Students will listen to the melodic fragment, then recreate it by dragging the pumpkins straight up to the correct lines or spaces on the staff. The melody will be played twice with a short pause between. Melodic fragments begin on either treble G or bass C, and move by 3rd/skip and repeat. The first note is provided, and the melody may be listened to as many times as desired. Audio instructions play automatically for the first two cards, followed by 13 randomized cards per play. Alt-text and tab order are used throughout. This deck is a perfect match for Piano Safari Levels 1 and 2, and works well with primer/level 1-2 books in most piano methods.
