Description: Asking questions is an important social skill that helps build and maintain friendships. It shows people that you are interested in them, keeps conversations flowing, and helps you find common ground with others. In this activity, students role-play with 12 people by reading the scenario next to their picture and asking them a question to maintain a conversation and show an interest in getting to know them. After students have practiced asking the question aloud or written in the box provided, they press the “Submit” or “Next” button to proceed to the next person. A reinforcer slide follows each role-play scenario. Have fun!
