Description: This activity for teaching Homophones, Irregular Plurals, and Irregular Past Tense was designed to be Fun in a memory match game format! Why Game-Based Learning?: Learning is most effective when it's enjoyable, and that's why I’ve designed this series of games. This Syntax activity covers a wide range of homophones, irregular plurals, and irregular past tense verbs. From commonly confused words to the trickiest irregular forms, I’ve curated a collection of content that will aid skill development. Boom cards offer Real-Time Feedback: Immediate feedback is crucial for effective learning, and this game kit provides it in real-time. The design offers consistent exposure to such tricky forms and we know consistent exposure is one key to learning and stabilizing a skill. Included are five matching games. Each game contains twenty cards for a total of 20 Tricky homophones, 20 Irregular plurals and 10 irregular past tense forms. Once a pair is found a student is asked to provide a sentence for each pair so that YOU can determine if the student has mastered this form!
