Description: Winter Expanding Utterances activity. Students must complete the "He/she is......" sentence strip at the bottom of the card by dragging the correct adjective into the sentence strip. Students are asked the question, "what adjective best describes him/her?" at the top of each card. Beneath the question, students are presented with an image of a child in a winter scene. Students must complete the "He/she is......" sentence strip at the bottom of the card by dragging the correct adjective into the sentence strip. Students are given 2 adjectives to choose from. All answer choices are written and have visual aids to help with comprehension. Adjectives Practiced: warm, cozy, fast, sick, cold, stuck, unsteady, bundled, alone, rosy, upset, strong, injured, puzzled, scared, hidden, happy, messy This activity is aimed to help expand student's utterances to complete sentences & aid in language development. Students practice answering "WH" questions, building sentences, and identifying Winter themed adjectives.
