Description: Students are presented with animals and objects from the book Goodnight Gorilla. Students are asked to point identify spatial concepts in a field of 2 or 3. Students have the choice to select 2 or 3 visual choices per page. For example, "point to the gorilla under the cage." Students are asked to identify the follow spatial concepts: - in front - behind - on - above - under - in - out - next to - Between Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - Identifying Animals - Identifying Basic concepts (e.g. Spatial Concepts) - Where Questions (after the student identifies the spatial concept, ask them "where is the animal/person or object). - Expanding Utterances and increasing MLU (asking students after they identify the spatial concept - where is the animal, object or person and using a visual sentence starter to help them expanding their utterances).
