Description: This is another deck created to use in conjunction with (ReST) Rapid Syllable Transition treatment . ReST is an evidence based approach that addresses the motor planning and programming skills of children with CAS (Childhood Apraxia of Speech) aka Dyspraxia. The clinician will have to work through the free self directed training and word selection resources as described on the Sydney University website : https://rest.sydney.edu.au/resources/ This approach has been shown to be effective using tele-therapy. A session consists of a training and a practice part. There are 5 practice blocks with 2 minute breaks between each. The deck is designed for the practice part of the session, and can be used in face to face or online settings. During the practice part the deck helps the student to count down the required 20 productions of the selected non-sense words, and provide games and activities for the 2 minute rest periods between the practice of the sets words. This deck can be used for up to 3 sessions if the therapist hides some of the rest period pages that are found after each practice page. Select a different set of 2 minute rest activities before each new session. This deck can also be used for articulation therapy or any other type of therapy that requires practice or drill work. It is especially useful for online sessions because the rewards are built in and don't require another game or app to be opened. Bundles are being developed.
