Description
Use these Simile and Metaphor cards to practice identifying similes and metaphors in sentences. Students need to read three sentences and decide which one contains a simile, which one contains a metaphor, and which one contains neither. When using these decks one-on-one, you could further the learning by discussing what the similes and metaphors mean. Students can think of other appropriate situations to use them in, as well as inappropriate situations where they should not be used.
