Description: The deck of cards relates to beginning consonants. It is a St Patrick’s Day theme game. There are 42 cards in total. The game contains a mix of beginning blends. There are two words for each blend: bl-, cl-, fl-, gl-, pl-, sl-, cr-, br-, dr-, fr-, gr-, pr-, tr-, sc-, sk-, sm-, sn-, sp-, st-, sw-, and tw-. Direction: 1. Look at each picture and say what it is. 2. Drag and drop the correct beginning consonant blends into the blank space to finish the word. 3. Click or tap the ‘Submit’ button. Students will have to decide which are correct and incorrect spellings and nonsense words. If it is a correct consonant blend that completes the word, the deck will advance to the next card after pressing the ‘Submit’ button. You will hear a bell sound and see a green circle. If an incorrect consonant blend is inserted to finish the word, you will hear a whoops sound and see a red circle. You can try as many times as you like to correct the error.
