Description: Use these math story problems to help your students select the relevant information in a word problem to answer the question when given more information than they need. Each of these longer word problems appears on 4 sequential cards for a total of 6 stories. Each. card features a different math question for a total of 4 math questions per story and 24 for the deck. For each question, students must read the story carefully to select only the information needed to solve the given question. Students can use the DRAW feature to underline the information they need on each card. Students then select the correct answer. Many of these problems require more than one step to solve. Older or advanced students should be able to solve most of the problems mentally. Younger or struggling students will need to solve the problems on paper, or can use the DRAW tool in the empty space on the card. As a bonus these cards are also good for reading comprehension and inference. Because this is SET 2, the cards are numbered 7-12. Please note that while using the DRAW tool will be beneficial, it is not required in order to use this deck.
