Description: This is a freebie sample! The full activity is in my boom store. This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills with camping nouns. Students are presented with a girl on a safari. Students are given sentences with the core word "need" to follow 1-step directions with object functions. Students are able to identify camping nouns, identify object functions and follow 2-step directions This activity includes: - A variety of camping items (e.g. tent, backpack, flashlight, s'mores, jeep, hot dog, map, compass, lantern, water, marshmallow, graham cracker, sausage, binoculars, & grill) - A variety of functions (e.g. see, wear, eat, sail, sleep, drink, carry, directions, catch fish, catch bugs, protect, drive, keep warm, & cook) The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Following 1-step directions - Object Functions - Identifying common nouns - WH Questions (e.g. ask students what did the girl need?)
