Work on pronouns, expanding expression, and using complete sentences with your students who are tackling expressive language goals. Or talk about subjects, actions and objects using auxiliary verbs. I also like to ask Wh-questions like "Who is...? or "Where?" If these sentences are too simple, ask students for more details e.g. "Tell me 2 things about what you see in this picture."
