This activity is an open ended game that can be used by itself to develop/practice turn taking skills or in conjunction with your own resources as a simple reinforcement activity. This resource offers 8 variations of the layout enabling students to play multiple times with varied outcomes. Students of ALL ages love the surprise element of this game yet it is SIMPLE enough to use with your early learners. Take turns moving a bale of hay and see if you can be the first person to find the farmer’s turkey! The first person to find the farmer’s turkey wins! Player 1 moves a bale of hay to see if there is a turkey behind it. If there is, Player 1 wins and the game is over. If there isn’t, it is Player 2’s turn. Player 2 moves a bale of hay to see if there is a turkey behind it. If there is, Player 2 wins! If there isn’t, it is Player 1’s turn again. Bales of hay can be discarded by swiping them off the left or right side of the page. Play continues until someone catches the farmer’s turkey! Want to play again?
