Description: With this activity, children will enjoy uncovering three mystery pictures as they practice reading CVC words spelled with short a. An audio clip on each card direct students to click on a specific word. If they are correct, part of the picture is revealed. What is the picture? Students will love trying to solve the mystery before each picture is completely uncovered! When one picture is completely revealed, students click the arrow to begin the next puzzle. Each of the three mystery pictures included in this activity provides practice with a different pair of short a word families: -an/-at; -am/-ap; and -ad/-ag. Nine words are included for each of the three mystery pictures.
