Description: This deck has 44 cards that will have students practice segmenting CVC words! First, students say the word. Then they point to each box and say the sound. They then move the counters to each box and say the sound. At the end, they put their finger at the beginning of the arrow and glide it down while saying the sounds together to say the word. This would be fantastic as a small group activity to work with your students that are at the basic phonemic awareness level. Using it on a tablet and having students say the phonemes. It could also be used for independent practice, but I suggest teaching this in small group or whole group first. Audio directions are included on each slide.
