This activity helps strengthen your students' phonics and phonological awareness skills by having them isolate and compare long and short vowel sounds in words using a variety of spelling patterns. The students are asked to read the two words on the card and identify whether they have the matching vowel sounds or not. *The cards can be read words to students, as well. All words are one-syllable. This 80-card deck provides for lots of practice opportunities. Choose how many you assign at a time! ❤️ Reading Support: Sound is included for students who need help reading independently.
