Are you looking for a way to show your students the relevancy of multiplying decimals in real life? This fun road trip-themed deck asks students to calculate how much it will cost to fill their car at each stop. At the end of the deck, there is an optional challenge card which asks students to find the total sum spent on gas during the trip. Skill level: Each card asks learners to multiply a gas price (up to $5.90) with a single-digit whole number. ✏️ PLEASE NOTE: Students will need scratch paper or dry-erase boards to calculate each problem. This would also be a great practice for using calculator functions! 🚗It’s a wonderful, relevant activity to use right before spring or summer break or any other holiday! Addresses CCSS Standard 6.NS.B.3 Fluently add, subtract, multiply, and divide multi-digit decimals using the standard algorithm for each operation. Partially addresses CCSS Standard 5.NBT.B.7 Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths
