You can also use this resource during in-person sessions by pulling it up on a computer or iPad. This resource targets comprehension of complex sentences AND higher-level expressive language. The student selects the photo (from a field of four) that best matches the sentence and explains his/her choice. Contains an evidence-based practice page! This resource follows a similar layout to the sentence comprehension subtests of the CELF-P2 and CASL; each page has one sentence and four similar photos. The student must select the photo that best matches each sentence. You can require the student to repeat each sentence aloud and/or to visualize in order to work on auditory recall. This resource can also be used to address higher-level expressive language goals including answering critical-thinking/inference questions, describing, and formulating sentences. Within this one Boom card deck, there are 88 pages that contain four high-quality, eye-catching photos for a total of 352 different pictures!
