Description
Students will practice manipulating common suffixes -es and -y to a simple bases (moss, dress). Audio directions on each slide. Next, students will apply skills by spelling words with similar rhyming words (press, mess, cross, etc) and the same suffixes. Students can move a barrier to "check the board" if they are unsure, building metacognitive skills. Each spelling word comes with a sentence to tie in meaning.
