Description: I dedicate this deck to all my former students who insisted that I was saying the same words over and over. ^_ ^ If you teach a group of students who struggle to hear/pronounce the difference between b and p and all those short vowels, you'll want to grab this deck! With 46 cards, they'll get lots of practice in listening to and identifying the sounds they hear in these short words. On each card, they will hear a one-syllable word that starts with either "b" or "p" and has a short vowel. The end letters are provided for them. The audio starts automatically, and they can click the icon to listen again as many times as they want. They drag and drop the letters to spell the word that they hear. This deck was NOT designed for children. It will not appeal to them. I created this with adult students in mind. There are no words that are inappropriate for younger learners, but there is also no cutesy clipart or background scenes. I kept this very simple as it is meant for beginner ESL adults, and the focus is on the sounds. I didn't want any distractions.
