Description: In one of my classes, it got to the point where my Saudi students were deliberately using b/p wrong to tease each other. Getting to that point took some time, though, because in the beginning, they couldn't even HEAR the difference between /b/ and /p/. If your students struggle to hear or pronounce these two sounds, you'll want this deck. Students will hear a word and then select the word they heard from a given pair of minimal pairs. Please note that I have this same deck available in an easier version (#1) for students who are not yet reading. They hear the same words in that deck but select either /b/ or /p/. I used only minimal pairs with b/p in the initial position. Like all my decks, I made this deck with adult students in mind. As such, this deck will not appeal to children. I based this deck on a worksheet activity from my B/P Pronunciation resource (pdf) available in my TpT store.
