Description: Will the balance beam (set of scales) fall to the left, the right or remain balanced? Each slide presents a set of scales with one or more weights of various sizes on each side. All you have to do is figure out whether the beam will fall to the left, to the right or remain evenly balanced. Once a correct choice has been made, the next slide will show what actually happened, and you can then advance to the next puzzle. There are 40 puzzles in all to solve. The slides start off very simple, with small weight sizes of 1lbs and 2lbs. As you progress through the deck, heavier weights are added, providing more combinations to play with, which challenge mental arithmetic and adding skills. Deck in this series: - Balance Beam 1: weights - metric (Kg) - Balance Beam 1: weights - imperial (lbs) - Balance Beam 2: forces - metric (Kg) - Balance Beam 2: forces - imperial (lbs) This is the imperial version of this deck, where the weights are in lbs. See also the metric version where the weights are in Kg.
