Description: These emergent readers can be differentiated for many different ability levels! Have the sound on, and then the child will receptively identify which picture belongs on that page. Turn the sound off, and teach a child beginning reading skills by reading along with them while they point to each word, and then find the correct picture. Keep the sound off, and allow the child to read the words independently and find the correct picture! Ask them what they other pictures are, or ask them to point to specific pictures if they are non-verbal! This is great for speech, expanding vocabulary, beginning reading skills, receptive identification, and reading comprehension! A black background is used to be easier on their eyes and also to provide higher contrast for those who have a Visual Impairment! All slides include voice overs of the instructions, so friends who are not reading yet can play and learn independently!
