Description: These 36 task cards are differentiated and cover converting long division remainders to decimals. Cards 1-12 have a blue background and are the easiest. Cards 1-6 explain the 5 steps to convert long division remainders to decimals. Cards 7-12 ask students to type part of the decimal for the answer. Cards 13-24 have a red background and are a little more difficult. Students are asked to answer a long division problem with 3 multiple choice answers. Cards 25-36 have a yellow background and are the most challenging. Students are asked to type the answer for the long division problem, including the decimal point. I suggest having students work out the problems on a separate sheet of paper beforehand. These cards are aligned to the common core 5.NBT.B.7 and 6.NS.B.3.
