Description: THANKSGIVING IDIOMS! Learning figurative language can really make you feel like a FISH OUT OF WATER! Idioms can be especially troublesome because these expressions vary from place to place and cannot be taken literally. Teaching students to examine these phrases in context can help them determine the meanings independently while reading or having conversations. This deck of 20 cards provides great practice for determining the meaning of idioms by utilizing context clues. Students are asked to read a sentence, determine the meaning of the underlined idiom, and choose the correct response.
