Description: Before our adult ESL students can write sentences with adverb clauses of time, they need to be able to identify these clauses. Identifying adverbial time clauses gets easier and easier once they have seen many sentence examples. When most sentence examples use only "before" or "after" to introduce time clauses, students may struggle to write their own sentences with varying time clauses. ^_^ I could go on, but you get the picture. In this deck, students will read past, present, and future sentences that include adverb clauses of time. They will identify the time clause by typing it in the provided box. Half the sentences begin with the time clause and half end with it. Introductory subordinating conjunctions include after, before, when, until, once, as soon as, while, whenever, & by the time. These sentences came from my Adverbs Clauses of Time Grammar Guide & Worksheets sold in my TpT store. These were all example sentences, not the sentences used in the worksheets. Teach adult ESL? You've hit the jackpot with my store! Browse through the hundreds of decks I've made specifically for adult English learners in Intensive English Programs.
