Description: This Boom deck is designed to target a student's ability to identify and/or generate synonyms. There are 3 games in this deck including 4 in a row (similar to Connect 4), word search, and memory game. 1. 4 in a row: This game includes 30 target words (i.e., happy, hurry, rich, make, etc.). Clicking a target word provides 4 choices for the student and an example of how the target word is used in a sentence. 2. Word search: This game includes 10 target words (i.e., save, end, dish, etc.). The student will be instructed to find the synonym for each listed word. The synonyms may be found in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal pattern. Take note that the synonyms may also be written backwards. An answer key is provided in the next page. 3. Memory game: This game includes 8 target words (i.e., chef, shout, yummy, etc). It targets synonym generation. Hence, choices are not provided. The student will be instructed to find the matching pictures then generate a synonym for the target word.
