Description: In this game, students find the pumpkin that has the costume for the Halloween character pictured. Next, they find the word for the Halloween characters. Then, they find the words for the pumpkins in their costumes. Last, they match the correct terms to the pumpkins AND/OR type them. (PLEASE NOTE: If you do not want your students to type the words, simply hide this card in your library before assigning it.) Enjoy! The words included are: vampire, Dracula, witch, mummy, pirate, and Frankenstein. This is a terrific game to be used by itself or with the story bundle of "Five Little Jack-o'-Lanterns", however, this information and game NOT needed to understand the text of this story. This is supplemental or additional information and a fun game for students to learn costume vocabulary. I use this with my English learners, especially the older student who do not know these characters. It provides them with extra information and vocabulary that is beneficial for them, especially during oral conversations about the text. Enjoy! Copyright 2022 Tiffany Brodsky.
