To be able to cook and read recipes, students need to be able to read the words and acknowledge what the items/ingredients are when reading. This life skills based series of functional vocab, is an essential foundation to supporting students with being able to cook/bake. Students are presented with 30 varying kitchen/cooking related functional vocabulary definitions and asked to identify its image from an array of three. There are also actions such as boiling water and mixing batter tied into this lesson, which is the first lesson of a series, so stay tuned!
