Description: This 34-card deck engages students in genetic crosses and related concepts for life science. Cards 1-8 have rich photographic backgrounds and help students review genetic cross terminology through multiple choice questions. Cards 9-16 have a variety of different solid color backgrounds and ask students to finish Punnett square crosses that are already set up. Students write the genotype for each square. The first problem in this set includes a video to help students complete the activity. Cards 17 to 27 include a variety of graphical backgrounds with blank Punnett Squares. Students must set up the genotypes for both the crosses and fill out the Punnet square. For example, cross TT x tt. Cards 28 to 30 require student to count completed crosses and fill out the probability of each offspring. The final three cards in the set (32 to 34) provide two simple story problems.
