Description: Short I Phonics Boom Cards - Here are 30 self-checking task cards targeting the Short I vowel sound. This set includes one syllable words with text or picture support (or both!). The majority of the Short I words are CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant). There are three types of questions included: 10 Read and Find - Students will read the word (decoding phonics skills) and then choose the correct picture. 10 Name and Click - Students will name the picture (i.e.: kit) and the choose the correct word (3 choices). 10 Name and Blend - Students will name the picture and choose the identify it has Short I or Not Short I (phonemic awareness) Please check out my other phonics skills including vowels, blends, digraphs, and more!
