Description: Identify major, minor (3rds only), and perfect intervals from unison up to an octave. Students read the interval, select the corresponding notes on the keyboard, then choose the correct interval size. Visualizing on the keyboard promotes fluent note recognition, especially for students who are learning instruments that use only one clef. Intervals are presented with and without key signatures, in both harmonic and melodic forms, and with a variety of note values. Clip art has been omitted for less distraction and to allow older students to learn without feeling that the concept is too young for them. Two teaching cards explains the concepts at the start of each round, and one demonstration card shows how to answer each question. The following 17 randomized cards provide a different game every time. Cards have both written and audio instructions and are optimized for visual and audio accessibility. All answers are clickable (no drag and drop). Correlates with RCM Level 3 (Royal Conservatory of Music.) This is not a product of RCM, but provides extra practice for concepts covered in the Level 3 Celebrate Theory workbook. Great for online or in-person piano lessons, theory classes, exam preparation, music classes, music lab, take-home activities, homeschooling, and device-based learning.
