Description: Practice counting coins within €1! Ten of the cards are pictures of coins, and ten are types of coins written out (e.g., "4 ten cent coins, 6 five cent coins, 1 one cent coin"). For all cards, students type the total amount in cents. This activity addresses CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.C.8, using euros in place of dollars. It's great for an international school setting! Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
