Prior to completing this deck, students should know how to solve quadratics by factoring, using square roots, and using the quadratic formula. Students should also be able to simplify a non-perfect square (used when solving using the quadratic formula). This deck is great for a review day! Card tasks are outlined below: Cards 1 - 5 require the student to solve the factored quadratic using the zero product property. (activity: multiple-choice) Cards 16 - 18 require the student to identify the values of a, b, and c in the given quadratic equation. Students must then enter the values into the quadratic formula skeleton. (activity: fill-in-the-blank) Cards 19 - 20 require the student to enter the values of a, b, and c into the quadratic formula skeleton, and simplify – answers left as simplified square roots, not decimals.
