Description: Do your students struggle to decode words with triple blends? Consonant clusters are hard, but this fun deck can help! It lets students practice sounding out and blending words with initial triple blends and digraphs (scr-, str-, spl-, spr-, shr-, thr-). What's included: All words are one-syllable (closed) with short vowel sounds and range from four to six phonemes (sounds). There are 20 reading cards in total. How it works: The word is printed on the card with a dot underneath each sound. Students place their finger on each dot and give the sound. Then they slide their finger under the word, blending the sounds together to read the word. Finally, they click on the picture that shows the correct word. Pictures of similar sounding words are included on each card to ensure that kids have correctly decoded the word.
