Description: Collecting the Gold is the name of this activity, and it's exactly what your students will be challenged to do. This interactive St. Patrick's Day themed activity is packed with opportunities for your students to work on the G sound! On each card the student's are given the instruction to help the Leprechaun collect the gold coins by adding them to his pot of gold and practice the words hidden underneath the coins. There are three target words per card. There are five cards for /g/ in the initial position, five cards for /g/ in the medial position, and five cards for /g/ in the final position. This means your student will have 45 trial words in all from this single activity; 15 words per position of /g/. Trial words for each card are listed under the pot.
