Expanding Utterances: Who and What Questions with Animated Chore Everyday Verbs (GIFS)

Description: Students are presented with animated everyday chore verbs (GIFS) in different locations. Students are asked "who" questions and presented with 2 pronoun visual choices (e.g. she vs. he) and then asked "what" questions such as "what is he/she doing" and given 2 visual choices (e.g. cleaning windows/sweeping). After, students are asked to form the sentence. Students are presented with sentence starters such as "the (who) is (doing what) in the bathroom/kitchen/bedroom, etc. Students are presented with 2 choices for each WH question. Students are asked to drag and drop the answer to the WH questions into the colored boxes in the sentence starter. his helps students expand their utterances while answering who and what questions.
