Fantasy and Reality The story will either focus on fantasy, with only one or two realistic events, or it will focus on reality, with one or two unrealistic events. The students will be asked to identify those one or two different events in the story. Cause and Effect Many of the events in the stories do not use cause-effect signal/ clue words. Cause and effect events/sentences usually follow each other in the stories. Cause questions are in the form of WHY.... while Effect questions are in the forms of WHAT HAPPENED AFTER... or WHAT IS THE EFFECT....
