Description: This resource can be used to informally assess and work on a student's ability to understand and answer who, what, and where questions based on very short stories (3 sentences long). Designed for students who require high levels of support when working on listening comprehension skills. The focus of this deck is to facilitate the student's ability to: 1. listen to and process auditory information, and 2. help the student understand and differentiate between "who", "what", and "where" questions. Visual choices are set up to facilitate the student's ability to understand the difference between "wh" question words (i.e., who means a person, where means a place, etc.) This resource includes: 1. anchor charts to be used as a visual cue for "who", "what", and "where". 2. 25 short stories (2-3 sentences), each with who, what, and where questions for a total of 75 "wh" questions. 3. each "wh" question word is signaled with a different color (red for "who", purple for "where", and blue for "what"). This resource can be used with both verbal and non-verbal students as there are 3 visual choices for each question. Visuals include both real photos and clip art images.
