Description: It is important to keep the conversation going! Click on which person made an off-topic comment that will stop the conversation. Each of the kids responded to the top comment, but one is off-topic. Click on that child's face. Be sure to watch out for comments that state a fact or go off on a tangent, though! No reading is required- just click the audio button! This fun, interactive Boom card deck will give you and your speech therapy students lots to discuss as you work on improving conversation skills. There are many ways to respond in conversation, but some responses are more effective at keeping the conversation flowing. This leads to great discussions and even role- playing activities. For further practice, see if your students can provide an additional response to the conversation starter, or let a group role-play the conversation. Practice explaining by having students tell why the off-topic statement ends the conversation.
