This is an interactive activity that helps students build their expressive and receptive language skills with a cat wearing different summer clothing items (e.g. shirt, dress, bathing suit, shorts, flip flops, hat). This interactive activity is used to target formulating Subject + Verb + Adjective + Object sentences using summer clothing! Students are provided with the carrier phrase (e.g. the cat is wearing a ___ __). Students are provided with 2 visual color choices and 2 visual clothing choices. This helps students form sentences such as "the cat is wearing a green dress." Some of the following IEP goals can be targeted during this activity: - WH Questions - Expanding Utterances and Increasing MLU (e.g. Subject + Verb + Adjective + Object) - Adjectives - Identifying and Labeling Clothing Items - Body parts (e.g. can ask students to identify body parts on the cat)
