Description: During this "Deep Sea Fishing" basic concepts activity, we will be listening to directions and information that will help us learn quantitative concepts. Then, we will practice following directions by moving the sea creatures into nets as specified by the quantitative concepts. Audio is provided for non-readers. This multi-purpose resource is developed for speech-language pathologists, educators, and parents to build receptive and expressive language skills in children. This will target the receptive language skills of not only quantitative concepts and relationships, but also listening for details, and opposites. The following concepts are addressed: more/less, most/least, all/none, every/zero, whole/part, full/empty, pair, single/couple, equal, some, as many, fewest. To address expressive language and further understanding of the quantitative concepts and opposites, have your student retell the information using the quantitative concept word within a sentence. A question is posed to prompt 3rd person (present tense) verb usage with the pronouns he/she. 3rd person verbs provided: catches, gets, snaps up, snags, traps, lands, nabs, nets, ensnares. Record and listen to responses is enabled! BUNDLE pricing available! Bonus: The last card is a reinforcement activity where your student gets to create their own picture! This can be used for developing storytelling and narrative skills while targeting specific grammatical structures and quantitative concepts.
